Dr. Basant Agarwal is currently working as an Associate Professor, Computer Science and Engineering at Central University of Rajasthan, India. Dr Basant Agarwal holds a M.Tech. and Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) Jaipur, India. He has more than 9 years of experience in research and teaching. He has worked as a Postdoc Research Fellow at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway, under the prestigious ERCIM (European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics) fellowship in 2016. He has also worked as a Research Scientist at Temasek Laboratories, National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore. He has worked on exploring the methods for knowledge extraction from text using deep learning algorithms, Convolutional Neural Network, Recurrent Neural Network etc. He has published more than 60 research papers in reputed conferences and Journals. His research interests include Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Sentiment Analysis, Sentic Computing.
