With broad research interest in mathematical ecology and epidemiology, I use variety of modeling approaches and mathematical analysis techniques to address some basic questions in mathematical ecology and epidemiology. In particular, I explore interactions at the population and ecosystem level. I develop variety of ecological and epidemic model systems using ordinary, partial, functional and integro-differential equations. For examining and understanding the non-linear features (e.g., stability, resilience, robustness, transient dynamics, bifurcations, periodicity, almost periodicity, oscillations etc.) of model systems, I use the following mathematical techniques: Linearization of differential equations, Lyapunov function, Fluctuation Lemma, stability theory, Bifurcation theory, normal form theory, center manifold theory, perturbation theory, Semigroup theory. For numerical computations , I preferably use MATLAB, MATHEMATICA and MAPPLE.
