The Central University of Rajasthan (राजस्थान केन्द्रीय विश्वविधालय) has been established in February 2009 by an Act of Parliament, the Central Universities Act 2009.The first year of establishment reflects well sustained pace of growth and development of the University during the year.The University has now been allotted over 500 Acres of land at Bandar Sindri on Jaipur-Ajmer Road, about 80 km from Jaipur. The University has also been given a newly constructed Shri R. K. Patni PG Govt. College, Kishangarh (also on Jaipur-Ajmer Road, about 100 km from Jaipur) as a temporary campus for the University till the required infrastructure is ready at the permanent site. The University has launched six new PG programs with effect from the academic year 2011-12. These programs, along with the eight launched in 2009-11, are being conducted in the temporary campus at Kishangarh and in permanent campus at Bandar Sindri.





 

The Central University of Rajasthan has been established by an Act of Parliament (Act No. 25 of 2009, The Gazette of India, No. 27, published on 20th March, 2009 as a new Central University, and is fully funded by the Government of India.
